| Posted: 02 May 2016 11:33 AM PDT  One of the most famous paintings ever made is The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. One of the most famous video games ever made is Super Mario Bros. The two combine quite nicely into the creation Starry Night Piranha Plant. Created by SagittariusGallery, it doesn’t actually show Mario. It shows the Super Mario universe, some green pipes and a fire breathing Piranha plant. Good enough for me to make it one of the all-time greatest combination of ancient (well not that old, 1889) and modern art. This isn’t to be confused with the Starry Night Over the Rhone, another painting by Van Gogh with very similar skies and stars from 1888. The original The Starry Night is hanging proudly at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. If you go on Etsy, you might be able to have this print (that comes in a number of different sizes), hanging on the wall of your home, preferably in the living room to show off just how awesome you are, both as a gamer or pop culture expert, combined with someone who has class and expensive taste, not to mention the knowledge of 19th century Dutch art, which I hear always impresses people.
