Tabletop Tendu: Ballet-Inspired Table is Enchantingly Lovely

Perfect for a room that exudes grace and beauty, this ballet-inspired table is a study in the cooperation of form and function. The table is a part of the Giselle collection from Kerozene Design and was created by 23-year-old designer Anna Neklesa.

Taken all together, the table looks like the tutu and powerful legs of a graceful ballerina. Broken down into its elements, a round tabletop supports a series of loops or pouches that hold rolled magazines or small objects.

Beneath the ruffled tutu tabletop, the table legs resemble a dancer’s legs, frozen forever in the midst of an artful stretching movement.

The result is artful without being pretentious and lovely without being overly sweet. It celebrates femininity yet does not force that aesthetic onto the rest of the room. In short, it strikes a balance just like a ballerina: power and beauty, strength and softness.
