Hand Crafted Wooden LEGO Man

Hand Crafted Wooden LEGO Man

As a LEGO model in my younger days (you know those kids on the side of boxes? I was one of them), I perfectly understand why these tiny figures with a little circle on their head make us so excited.

And when it’s a special edition or custom made LEGO man? It’s hard to resist the temptation to find out more about it, let alone buy it. A wooden LEGO man sculpture? That’s a hard thing to resist.

Made by MoreCowsThanPeople, the wooden LEGO man is hand crafted made from solid cherry. It stands 12 inches tall, with arms and legs that are entirely movable. It’s finished with a hand rubbed citris/carnuba/beeswax blend to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.

So, why get it, for yourself or for someone as a gift? If you’re a LEGO fan, there’s little to explain here. If you love beautiful wooden creations, there’s little to explain as well. And if you know a LEGO fanatic, you can either get it for them, which would make you the best person on earth from their POV, or simply tell them about it. They’ll be thankful for introducing it to them.

Getting this LEGO man isn’t the cheapest thing in the world, but beautiful things that are hand made and take a long time to make tend to be a tad expensive and totally worth it. You can buy it on Etsy.

When Super Mario & Super Wario Becomes SuperHeros 2

Illustrator and designer Rob Lafratta created a fantastic series called “Really Super Mario vs Really Super Wario” . In this fun illustration project he explored how Super Mario and Wario would look like if they were dressed as iconic comic books rivals. For each illustration, you’ll see Mario dressed as the hero obviously, and Wario as the villain.

Just a few months ago, on December 2015, Super Mario Bros. celebrated the 30th anniversary of its release on the Nintendo in North America. This clever art was actually made to honor the occasion. In the illustrations below you can find some of the most iconic Superheroes and villains all mashed up with Mario and Wario. Which one is your favorite?

Incredible Mosaic The Legend of Zelda Coffee Table

Old school gamers will appreciate this beautiful piece of… living room furniture? Yes, it’s Legend of Zelda coffee table. A few months ago The Legend of Zelda celebrated its 30th anniversary. It’s incredible to see how popular and loves the game is still is, with so much time gone since it made its first appearance.

This is one of the best ways to add and old school stylish into your home, but doing it in a retro gaming chic geek kind of way. On instructables there’s a step by step guide on how to create this awesome coffee table.

This coffee table features the crest of Hyrule and is made out of 2400 tiles. In order to create this mosaic Ashley Smith used a cross-stitch pattern that you can find for free online. All you need to do is make sure you can easily see the lines so you know which tile to place where. There are a lot of methods on how to place to tile: just pick the best way for you. Overall, making the table cost less than $90.
