Russian Dude Has Successful Career as a Female Model Posted: 21 Sep 2012 04:28 AM PDT Meet Stanyslas Fedyanin, a 16-year-old guy from Moscow, Russia, who has gained notoriety for his very successful career as an international female body. Stas, as he likes to be called, says he is heterosexual, and even has a girlfriend, he just has an androgynous figure that makes him perfect for female modelling. There are definitely people out there who believe a guy measuring 1.80m and weighing only 45kg modeling as a woman is pretty pathetic, but for his fans and people from the fashion industry, Stas Fedyanin is perfect. The rising star of Russian modeling is often compared with Andrej Pejic, another androgynous male model known for posing as a woman. Pejic is currently known as the “king of androgyny”, but 16-year-old Fedyanin may soon been known as an androgynous usurper, as his popularity in the fashion is increasing rapidly. Ironically enough, Stas is represented by Dopamin Models, a German male model agency. Fedyanin has often been described as belonging to a new generation of male-models, one that is unbiased and open to a more refined, frail, even feminine concept of maleness. Apart from his obvious feminine traits, he is also praised for his talent in front of the camera. Check out the photos on Stas Fedyanin’sVKontakte profile for hundreds of other photos, from his childhood to his present career as a teen female model.

Craig Tracy’s Unbelievable Body-Painting Optical Illusions Posted: 21 Sep 2012 03:03 AM PDT New Orleans-based artist Craig Tracy is considered a trendsetter in the art of body painting. He spends hour painstakingly painting his subjects’ bodies with water-based paint, before taking photos of them in unique positions. The first time we featured Craig Tracy on Oddity Central, was in January 2010, right after he created a jaw-dropping image of a tiger from the contorted bodies of several models. It was one of his most amazing works, but the American artist now has an entire collection of mind-blowing images painted on human bodies. Born and raised in New Orleans, Tracy always knew he was going to be an artist, in fact everyone else knew it as well. ”There was never any question regarding my being or becoming a professional artist. It was always just obvious and understood,” he says. Craig’s parents, whom he describes as “working class hippies”, nurtured his creative development and gave him the freedom to mature as an absolute individual. At 15, he received his first airbrush, as a gift from his parents, and just a year later, working as an airbrush artist in a local shopping mall, he had already learned to draw almost anything on a vast array of surfaces. After graduating from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, the young artist became an illustrator for advertising agencies and editorial publishing houses, and hated it. After six years, he left his career as an illustrator behind and started painting “murals, t-shirt designs and just about anything and everything possible”. It was this variety of surfaces that led him to discover painting on faces and then full bodies. ”It really clicked, from the very first time that I painted a face, it was strangely powerful. I later realized that I had quiet literally fallen in love with Bodypainting. It did however take me years to properly process and respect such an uncharted and ancient art form. It was similar to how people don’t take things seriously because they have no example to follow. Rock and Roll or Rap for example, It was hard to take these two seriously at first, but we see how that all turned out. I personally didn’t take Bodypainting seriously for five or six years. The day that I finally asked myself 'why', why I liked painting on people so much, that led me to… Well,,, What if I take this passionate interest seriously? That one question and a quick Google search changed the course of my life,” Craig Tracy remembers. He started doing online research and collecting body-painting works from artists he admired, and before long, he started making his first serious collection of body-painting images. Now, he is credited with revolutionizing this ancient-yet-contemporary art form. For some of his paintings, Craig uses only human volunteers, while for others he merges them with backdrops to give more depth. But his works are so incredibly complex that it’s sometimes hard to tell where the body-painting stops and the background begins. He will sometimes spend two days just planning out the artworks before applying a drop of paint.

Chinese Hospitals Introduce Automatic Sperm Extractors Posted: 21 Sep 2012 01:25 AM PDT No, this is not a joke, it’s not fake, Chinese hospitals really are using automatic sperm extractors for the most serious medical purposes. Still, I thought this was weird enough to post an article on. So, an entry about automatic sperm extractors being introduced in a Nanjing hospital recently went viral on China’s Weibo social platform. It contained some photos of the unusual machine, and a brief description of its functions. Apparently, the “massage pipe” in front of the device can be adjusted according to the height of its user, and the speed, frequency, amplitude and temperature at which it operates can also be set according to personal preference. When turned on, the screen of the extractor starts playing movies with surround sound to get the user in the right mood. The entry also said “now you can make that money standing up”, referring to the usage of the extractor for sperm bank donations, but the director of the urology department at Zhengzhou Central Hospital was quick to dismiss this rumor. Apparently, the machine is only used by infertility patients who are finding it difficult to retrieve sperm the old fashioned way. Zhu said: "Perhaps netizens misunderstood the usage of the machine, and thought it was used for sperm donation. In fact, sperm banks have very high standards; donors must go through strict medical examination and they will definitely not use a sperm extractor." The machine requires patients to wear a condom, which in many cases affect the quality of the semen, because of the spermicide they contain. Still, the extractor is reportedly very popular at the Zhengzhou Central Hospital, with an average of between 20 and 30 patients using it every day.
I did a quick search on “automatic sperm extractor” and it appears multiple models are already available for sale on Chinese e-commerce site Alibaba. Order yours today! I know I brought this on myself, but please try to keep vulgar comments to a minimum. Witty ones are welcome though.
