Cheating Husband Asks for 10,000 Facebook Likes to Win Wife’s Forgiveness

Posted: 30 Sep 2013 10:35 AM PDT

A thousand roses, boxes of chocolates, diamond necklaces, expensive shoes and cars. These are just some of the many ways men have tried to earn their spouses' forgiveness after having cheated on them. Meet Ivan Lewis, the cheater, and Sonya Gore, the mastermind behind her husband's unique and very public display of affection.

Lewis and Gore got married in 2010 but split after only 10 months because of Lewis' constant cheating. After some time apart, during which Lewis reflected on what he had done, the guy decided to put an end to his unfaithful ways and do everything in his power to get Gore to forgive him. On September 22, he proposed to her publicly on his Facebook wall. Although many people were touched by his gesture, Gore wasn't too impressed. He then posted a picture of himself holding a piece of paper which read "I cheated on my wife!!! (and she was ugly!!!)", stating that he needed 10,000 likes in order for Gore to take him back. His plea was generally well received but there was a good amount of criticism as well: "My man wouldn’t have to show and prove it on fb! So, I’m probably one on the number who wouldn’t care for that!!”, Facebook user Latoya Holiday wrote. "Well if she was ugly why'd you do it? Men always think the grass is greener on the other side, this is a lesson learned if she takes you back and if she does this should never come up again because once you forgive someone you can't keep back tracking, move forward and keep God first, I hope yall make it work !" another user posted.

Feline Fashion Calendar Features Stylish Cats Wearing Runway-Ready Designer Clothes

Posted: 30 Sep 2013 10:09 AM PDT

Do you wish that your cat was just as fashionable as you? Now you can both wear couture designs courtesy of United Bamboo's kitty clothing line. United Bamboo, a well-known fashion brand has been making calendars for three years now featuring cats dressed up in miniature versions of their most valued designs.

Wearing exact copies of runway clothing, the felines featured in the first issue belonged to friends and family. But soon the brand felt the need to start an Instagram campaign in order to find the most fashion forward cat lovers whose companions not only looked stylish in designer clothes but also looked good on camera. A number of kitties have been selected so far but the competition is tough and not all of them are going to make it in the 2014 issue. Some cats are already popular models such as Jasper, a part Maine coon, part domestic longhair cat who wears a red duffle parka on top of a striped shirt and is featured on the first month of the calendar. Another favorite, Huxtable, a hairless gentle-tomcat who loves "to hang out on people’s shoulders and will walk on a leash!" is wearing a simple yet stylish blouse and a black wool jumper. There is also sociaholic Prince Snowflake dressed in the brand's colored binding coat, and toothpaste-phobic Gertrude wearing a sparkly dress. All the stars of the calendar are photographed by cat enthusiast Noah Sheldon, while the calendar itself is designed by Studio Lin.

Meet the Guy Who Makes a Living by Cuddling with Strangers

Posted: 30 Sep 2013 09:54 AM PDT

We are living in an era of technology when direct human interaction is becoming more and more infrequent. If it weren't for their jobs, many people wouldn't even interact with others every day, relying solely on social networks, email, and text messaging services. But human interaction is not only about communicating messages; it is also about exploring our emotional nature, the importance of which is often forgotten.

According to numerous studies, physical contact is crucial to promote attachment between mother and infant but also to ensure the baby's healthy physical, emotional and intellectual development. Adults also need physical contact to maintain their mental and emotional health which contribute to their overall happiness. It comes as no surprise that people like Jacqueline Samuel have found a way to service those in need of a cuddle or snuggle and make a living out of it. Travis Sigley is the father of professional cuddling. He studied psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies and believes that through physical touch, people can learn to overcome the anxiety and fear that often accompanies social situations.  Through cuddling, Sigley hopes to teach people to relax and gain trust in themselves as well as in others.

Mountain-Hugging Manta Ray House to Wrap Around Peak

Inspired by the shape of a sea creature, this house will no doubt be a source of controversy – prominently placed at a high elevation to its surroundings, will it be beautifully integrated with or blight upon the rocky landscape?

Architect Nick Tsontakis (via Dezeen) states of his work: “The overall form of the home is reminiscent of a manta ray – even though this was not intentional - and from the air the structure looks like it's swimming on top of the mountain. I wanted to make the house design memorable and simple. It is organic, soft and liveable.”

By wrapping the site, the designer exposes the resident to wonderful views out and down on all sides. It also provides a workaround for local ordinances that prevent people from building right up to the peak – no part of the home is closer than 20 feet to the top vertically.

With six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a ten-car garage, this Arizona home will be huge, and not cheap either: the estimated price tag is 30 million dollars. If it does not look as big as it sounds, keep in mind: much of the construction will happen underground, including a 2000-square-foot entertainment space.
