Banksy has Tickets to the Olmypics Posted: 27 Jul 2012 10:20 AM PDT As you can probably tell, we’re pretty excited about the 2012 London Olympics over here. And it seems Banksy is as well. He’s posted two new pieces of his famed graffiti art on his site. This time, they depict a javelin thrower packing a little more firepower than usual and a pole vaulter escaping over a chain-link fence. While his messages may be polarizing, there is no denying that Bansky is one of the greatest cultural artists of our generation. Hopefully we’ll see more uploads from Banksy this week as the Games continue. And be sure to check out this article on the politics of Banksy’s stunning art at The Atlantic Wire.

One particular drink will make you look chilled, another desperate, and another like a sissy girl. In a new post, the comedy site comically guides us through the different social stigmas attached to a whole fridge-ful of different alcoholic beverages, and some non-alcoholic ones too – so, dear reader, what does your choice of drink say about you? |
Today’s #Olympic Social Media, Call Me Maybe Posted: 27 Jul 2012 06:05 AM PDT Olympic Swimmers Create Call Me Maybe VideoCheck out this video that the USA Olympic Swimmers have created to the Carly Rae Jepsen Call Me Maybe Song. It’s an awkward blend of rhythmic/non rhythmic, setting teenage silliness against high level athletic physiques and movement. If you were a swimmer in school (or you knew the swim team), you’ll see the weird yet fun combination of swim team camaraderie juxtaposing a “family” and sibling-like feel with the “are they dating” question that comes up with any fit, young, team members. |
