Optical Illusion of The Day: Rubin Vase Optical Illusion in Shadow |
Rubin Vase Optical Illusion in Shadow Posted: 24 Apr 2016 09:01 AM PDT I’m sure most of you are quite familiar with the classic Rubin vase optical illusion. It’s an ambiguous illusion that can be seen as either two faces facing each other or a single vase. It’s one of the most popular and well known optical illusions out there. There are also several variations of the classic Rubin vase illusion out there. Today’s illusion is just such a variation. The Rubin vase optical illusion above is created with an actual vase. Its shadow produces the illusion on the white wall behind it. What I found sort of neat about this illusion, though, is the shadow of the woman’s face fits into the shadow of the face pretty well. It’s an added element that isn’t really seen all that often. Love this illusion?
