Become a Babe Magnet at Tel Aviv’s Babe Master School

Posted: 05 Jun 2012 04:31 AM PDT

If you’re looking for answers to questions like “what kind of men are women looking for?”, or if you want to learn how to strike up a conversation with an attractive woman, the Babe Master school in Tel Aviv, Israel, will teach you everything you need to know.

And who better to teach you how to pick up women, than an actual woman, right? Sharon Rubinstein inaugurated the Babe Master school, after her book, “What She Wants”, proved a big hit among Israeli men. Readers kept emailing her with more questions about how to get women interested in them, and she realized the book just wasn’t enough. “It’s like learning swimming from a book! Same idea!” she thought, and made the decision to create a practical course for men who wanted to learn the secrets of becoming babe magnets. Sharon created the Babe Master website, men started applying for her courses, and the rest is history…

According to Rubinstein, most men who apply at the Babe Master school are over 18, with a good education, who have great careers, but are lacking in the romantic relationship department. Courses tackle a variety of topics, from flirting and teasing, charisma, dating, locations for hooking up, to women and money, how to turn a friend into a lover, sex and sexuality, and of course, getting your ex back. Every base is covered at Babe Master, from how to ignore the girl you’re actually trying to get the attention of, to how to walk naturally so not to look stiff and talking to a girl in gradual stages, instead of showering her with words from the start.

Sharon Rubinstein says Babe master works, and the men she’s been trying to turn into experts on women seem to agree with her. Some say they’ve finally begun to understand that it’s not what you say, but how you say it, and that their experience at the school has helped them reach their goals. Some have found love, while other are in the process of finding it, but are confident it’s just a matter of time.

I don’t know if they do classes in English at the Babe Master school, but if they do, and you’re having girl problems, you’re apparently better off attending some of them, than spending your hard-earned money on some lousy e-book that promises to reveal all of women’s secrets.

Artist Paints Herself Dressed in Bizarre Dead Animal Dresses

Posted: 05 Jun 2012 02:57 AM PDT

In her 2007 self-portrait series, Booty, Julie Heffernan painted herself dressed in creepy dresses made from dead animal carcasses.

David Cohen, art critic of The New York Sun, describes Julie Heffernan’s paintings as “a hybrid of genres and styles, mixing allegory, portraiture, history painting, and still life, while in title they are all presented as self portraits.” The American painter uses self-portraits and a mix of history, art and high fashion to offer the viewer a wealth of visual entertainment. But her 2007 series, called Booty, is by far the most intriguing. In this colorful collection of portraits, the artist presents herself draped in pompous dresses made of dead animal carcasses, flowers and fruits. Like Heffernan’s other art series, these bizarre-yet-beautiful paintings are a constant dilemma between the gorgeous and the grotesque, attraction and repulsion.

According to Artcat.com, “Booty amasses the spoils of war. It presents us with a bounty of enormous amounts of both wealth and waste of resources, energy and lives. Yet, the figure does not stoop under the weight of it all, but holds herself upright among the surrounding foe, heavy ornaments and animal corpses with the most extraordinary grace.”

Man Turns 727 Passenger Plane into His Woodland Dream Home

Posted: 05 Jun 2012 02:01 AM PDT

Bruce Campbell, a 62-year-old self-confessed nerd from Oregon, USA, has spent the last 10 years converting a 727-200 passenger jet into his dream home.

We’ve seen airplanes converted into living space before, like the 747 jumbo jet hostel in Stockholm, or the Boeing 707 plane hotel of Costa Rica, but Bruce Campbell’s work is the most impressive we’ve ever seen, because he did it all by himself.  The Building Services & Environmental Engineer bought the old 727-200 plane for $100,000 and spent at least another $100,000 on logistics costs like having it moved from the airport to his home, and temporarily removing the wings and tail. On AirplaneHome.com, the website dedicated to his ambitious project, Campell says planes like his aren’t that expensive nowadays, and costs can be significantly lowered if you work on the project during the summer, instead of a La Nina hurricane winter, like he did.

For the kind of money Bruce spent on his dream home, he could have probably bought one of the most expensive houses in Oregon, so why did he choose to spend it all on an old airplane? Without meaning to offend anybody, the man says wood is just a terrible building material. On his site, he calls it “termite and microbe chow”, “firewood”, “relatively weak”, and says “it’s secured with low tech fasteners using low tech techniques”. Another reason would be that rectangular designs are structurally inferior which can’t withstand severe winds and earthquakes, are frequently broken into, kill people when they explode into flames, are leaky and degrade quickly. On the other hand, airplanes are “well designed, high tech, aerospace quality sealed pressure canisters that can withstand 575 mph winds and seven G acceleration forces with ease, could last for centuries (with effective corrosion control), are highly fire resistant, and provide superior security. They’re among the finest structures that mankind has ever built.”

The single BSEE recently welcomed KOIN -TV reporters into his airplane home, deep in the woodlands of Oregon. Although he has been working on it for over 10 years, one man can only do so much, so it’s still a work in progress. He managed to get one of the plane’s three toilets working, got the electricity working inside the jet and even installed a temporary shower right in the middle of the main cabin. It’s not very private, but considering he lives in the middle of the woods, it doesn’t bother him much. Like most other airplane enthusiasts, Bruce Campbell’s special place inside his unique home is the cockpit, which “has a certain magic”, but he’s also very fond of the 727′s wings, which make wonderful decks. Although he doesn’t have a TV or radio, Bruce has an iPod Touch to keep him company as he tinkers on his dream home.

'It's not for everybody. But I think it is for a lot of people and it is definitely for me. I absolutely love it,' Campbell says, as he concludes the video tour.
