Optical Illusion of The Day: Forced Perspective Waterfall Illusion |
Forced Perspective Waterfall Illusion Posted: 15 Dec 2015 05:46 AM PST It seems like a good morning for a little forced perspective, doesn’t it? If you’re not familiar with forced perception, it’s a photography technique that involves posing or positioning subjects in such a way that they appear to be in an outrageous position or situation, usually with clever subject or camera positioning. Forced perspective photography usually creates some pretty awesome optical illusions! The most common example of forced perspective photography involves making objects in the background appear larger, smaller, closer, or farther away. This forced perspective waterfall illusion is a fantastic example of this! With careful posing, the artist here was able to make it appear as though the boy was filling his cup from a waterfall. In reality, though, the waterfall is actually in the background. Loved this forced perspective waterfall illusion?
