The View-Master returns as a 3d capable device Posted: 17 Feb 2015 08:14 AM PST One of the most unlikely alliances of all time is bearing fruit and bringing back a classic gadget from our childhoods: the View-Master is getting ready for a come back! Thanks to Mattel and Google teaming up the old classic View Master is getting ready for a second wind – with all the technological power of the last few years added on top of it. Turns out this new edition will pair up with smartphones and VR technology to create a completely new experience for the new century. For those who don’t remember it, the View-Master was a toy gadget that allowed the public to see photographies by putting slides inside the viewer. The new version, though, will have users put their smartphones in instead, and using a special app, to travel virtual worlds, far away cities, or even outer space. All that for just some $30 USD. The release date will be sometime this year, but as of now, neither Mattel nor Google have prototypes to show us. We’ve missed it so much we don’t mind waiting a bit longer, though, so it is okay. Amazing DeLorean iPhone 6 case is a must-see Posted: 17 Feb 2015 07:00 AM PST While we wait for Marty McFly and Doc to arrive in October this year as seen in Back to the Future 2 we can enjoy this iPhone 6 case themed after their DeLorean. What you see in this pictures is not a perfect recreation of the DeLorean from the popular Back to the Future movie series (well, it actually is) but a fantastic case especially made for all the geeks who years after the movie still love it as much as the first day. This is a creation of the Bandai team, mostly popular for their anime tie-ins, but who already created a couple cases for Apple’s iPhone 6 as part of their Crazy Case lineup. Sure, its bulky and might not be fit for everyday use, but it is one of the coolest cases we’ve ever seen, right next to their previous Batman design. They should stop, though, I can only buy so many of these on my current payroll. What’s next, the Ghostbusters Ecto-1? The iPhone 6 case is particularly well thought out, as all of the compartments can open to give the user access to the buttons on the side or different cameras on the phone while still looking like something that could be seen in the movies. But don’t take our word, and see the video they created to promote it instead. Via Rocket News 24 Be social!
